Effective July 15, 2026
WorthIt ("the app", "we", "us") lets you photograph a product to identify it and see a range of prices from online stores. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not sell your personal data.
When you scan a product, the photo is sent to our processing service only to identify the product and search for prices. The photo is processed in-memory and is not stored on our servers, and it is not used to build any profile of you.
To perform identification and price lookup, the image and/or the resulting product name are shared with our processing providers (see "Third-party services" below).
Your scan history and app settings (such as your selected country and light/dark preference) are stored locally on your device only. They are not uploaded to us and are removed if you delete the app or clear its data.
Optional subscriptions are processed by the app store (Google Play or the App Store) through RevenueCat, which manages your subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment card details; those are handled entirely by the store.
To provide the service we rely on: Anthropic (product identification from your photo), SerpApi / Google Shopping (price results), and RevenueCat together with your app store (subscription management). Each processes data only as needed to perform its function.
Because our backend is stateless, we do not keep your photos or scan results after a request is completed. On-device data remains until you remove it.
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
